Job Description
St. Petersburg based manufacturing company is in need of a Stockroom Associate.
This position plays a crucial role in managing inventory and ensuring the efficient flow of products through our stockroom.
9:00am to 5:30pm
Monday thru Friday
$15.00 to $17.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive and Count Quantities of Products:
- Receive incoming shipments of products and verify the quantity against packing lists.
- Accurately count and inspect received items to ensure they meet quality standards.
2. Inventory Management:
- Perform inventory transactions using company software to update stock levels.
- Ensure correct quantities of items are maintained on stockroom shelves.
- Generate labels for products and affix them to inventory as needed.
3. Flag Low Quantity Items:
- Identify items with low stock levels and communicate these to the Purchasing Department for timely replenishment.
4. Packaging and Shipment:
- Break down and discard empty packaging materials.
- Prepare and pack products for shipment, ensuring items are well-protected and appropriately labeled.
5. Order/Job Processing:
- Assist in order/job processing tasks as necessary to support the fulfillment of customer orders.
6. Machinery Operation:
- Safely operate appropriate machinery in accordance with safety protocols and guidelines.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Contribute to the overall team effort by completing related tasks and assisting colleagues when needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Availability to work weekends when necessary.
- Basic knowledge of data entry software, including MS Excel and MS Word.
- High school diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Previous experience operating warehouse machinery is preferred.
