Job Description
Tampa based manufacturing company is hiring a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to direct packaging orders from receiving through production, and onto shipping and delivery in a timely and appropriate manner. You will also complete other related duties.
Monday thru Friday
Pay based on experience.
Shipping/Receiving Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Must maintain schedules and daily dock assignments.
- Must monitor daily shipping/receiving activities.
- In charge of contacting and managing relations with freight carries both local and intrastate.
- Monitor quality of product & material handling.
- Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
- Provide dispatch support as needed / required.
- Jump in and be hands-on where an extra set of hands is needed.
Shipping/Receiving Supervisor Requirements:
- Must have experience in material handling, including raw and finished good management.
- Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to team and management.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment, ideally in the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Must have above average computer skills, especially with Excel as well as general computer proficiency.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
- Professionally communicate with customers and suppliers, especially when under pressure.
