St. Petersburg based manufacturing company look for an ENTRY LEVEL Quality Manager to join their team.

Monday thru Friday  8am to 5p

$50K annually

JOB SUMMARY: Oversee all quality for company products ensure all products meet established standards; assists with audits, validation, risk analysis and CAPA as needed. Oversees quality decisions and systems; implements ways to improve the company’ s processes.

EDUCATION: Associates degree required; Bachelor’ s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in quality assurance/quality control highly desired. Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

SUPERVISES: Quality

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
  • Responsible for quality decisions
  • Establish quality standards and test methods
  • Oversee data entry and creation of production graphs
  • Maintain and enter information for measurement of quality and productivity standards
  • Requires completing research to provide solutions to manufacturing, safety, quality, purchasing, and packaging to resolve issues relating to ingredient, process, and product specifications
  • Validates new software programs and processes prior to implementation
  • Process owner for all aspects of document control including revision and required approvals, changes to procedures or product through company’ s ECO or CAN process
  • Process owner for calibration
  • Process owner for return program
  • Monitors production to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Responsible for processing sample requests
  • Establish standards for quality and job performance
  • Maintain and implement programs to increase production efficiencies
  • Participate in annual inventory
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

MENTAL & PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 35lbs
  • Read, interpret, and follow safety rules and procedures in accordance to the company’ s Quality Policy that are written in English
  • Near visual acuity and accommodation required for computer operation
  • Ability to communicate on current telephone system
  • Office environment, i.e. moderate noise levels. No physical hazards identified
  • Vision requirements include reading written documents and using a computer monitor screen frequently.

  • Ability to show initiative with a high level of energy
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions in English
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to oversee, lead and train staff
  • Decision making skills; ability to handle difficult and confidential matters effectively and professionally focusing on what is in the best interests of the company
