Well established manufacturing company in Tampa is looking for an experienced and dynamic Controller to work closely with all departments in overseeing and participating in the financial operations of a fast paced and growing manufacturing company. Daily participation in all aspects of accounting and finance, including but not limited to working hands on with A/R, A/P, payroll, job costing, budgets and projections, financials, management reports, sales tax, bank reconciliations, all the while finding and implementing cost control measures to enhance profitability.

Job Description
Well established manufacturing company in Tampa is looking for an experienced and dynamic Controller to work closely with all departments in overseeing and participating in the financial operations of a fast paced and growing manufacturing company. Daily participation in all aspects of accounting and finance, including but not limited to working hands on with A/R, A/P, payroll, job costing, budgets and projections, financials, management reports, sales tax, bank reconciliations, all the while finding and implementing cost control measures to enhance profitability.
Monday thru Friday Pay depending on experience
Controller Responsibilities:
- Prepare company financial statements and work with outside CPA firm
- Bank Reconciliations, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Financial Analysis
- Day to day financial operations including: general accounting, A/R, A/P, costing, etc.
- Extensive job costing
- Ongoing analysis and reporting of financial and operational results to improve and maintain system of accounting policies and procedures
- Preparing documentation for tax purposes
- Lead financial administration, planning and budgeting
- Identify areas of cost control, revenue and margin generation to help improve bottom line performance
- Negotiating vendor contracts
- Create very detailed standard operation procedures
Controller Requirements:
- 5 years or more minimum professional accounting management experience
- Manufacturing and or construction experience is preferred
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work alone or as part of a very small team with no direct reports.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is absolutely must
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare meaningful financial reports and statements
