Job Description

Tampa based manufacturing company is growing!  Looking for an experienced Order Expediter to join their team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates orders through allocation and fulfillment process to eliminate pick/pack errors and maintain accurate inventory levels.

  • Stages orders and verifies all orders against paperwork for delivery and route truck drivers.
  • Completes all delivery, pick up, and UPS orders according to its designated timelines. (Schedule will be given).
  • Handles and ships all UPS and LTL pickups.
  • Generates bills of lading, shipping labels, and pickup requests for larger shipments as needed.
  • Utilizes available online reports to ensure that no orders are overlooked or missed on required ship dates; notifies plant manager and/or production manager of potential or missed delivery/required ship dates; reviews future orders to coordinate with said personnel to help coordinate on-time delivery.
  • Notifies customer service of backordered item(s) and potential missed deliveries/shipments or incomplete orders.
  • Transfers paperwork to proper personnel for invoicing by designated deadline. 
  • Assists with generating a weekly report for pulling items together for all internal company orders.
  • Interacts with customers reporting to facility for pick up and assists with loading their product.
  • Receives all incoming materials against packing lists and checks for damages/shortages. Reports damages/shortages to inventory control person along with all corresponding paperwork.
  • Unloads and stores away all inventory items in its proper location upon arrival. Must be able to safely operate and utilize a forklift to do so.  Checks dates and rotates inventory using the FIFO method (first in, first out). Makes individual(s) aware of received items (the name of the person who purchased the item(s) should be referenced on the paperwork).
  • Assists with inventory management by having a physical awareness of proper inventory levels. Notifies the appropriate personnel of low quantities for raw materials, ancillary products and supply items.
  • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse to streamline the processes of reordering product, physical inventory counts, reducing shrinkage and overall inventory control.
  • Responsible for physically counting all ancillary products on inventory day.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:
  • 2 to 3 years of machine operator experience in a food manufacturing environment or factory related type field a plus
  • Has basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Quick learner
  • Forklift operator experience a plus
  • Salary to be determined based on experience
