Job Description
Well established St. Petersburg based manufacturing company in need of an experienced Mold Polisher.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time easily and comfortably
- Must be able to work 50 hours/week
- Completion of all required documentation (SPI, time records, inspection reports and travelers, process updates, discrepant part tags)
- Keep supervisor aware of any condition that may affect the efficiency, quality, or completion of jobs
- Communicate with personnel from other shifts involved in the operation of the machine
- Responsible for understanding of quality manual and procedures
- Identify product with non-conformance
- Provide technical leadership to less experienced employees
- Recording personal inspection onto proper report
- Consistently meet and/or exceed estimated times
- Creating inspection reports and work instructions
- Work with Quality Control and all other departments for first piece qualifications
- Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferred: CDiploma form technical/trade school or work experience equivalent
Technical:
- Required: Must have your own set of personal tools related to mold making trade
- Required: Must have advanced blueprint reading and math capabilities
- Required: Advanced knowledge of inspection techniques
- Required: Capable of polishing to SPI A1/Optical Finish
- Required: 15 years minimum Polishing Experience, in a machine shop
