Well established Clearwater based sign company in need of an entry level or experienced Aluminum Fabricator to join their team.
Monday thru Friday
8am to 5pm
$18.00 to $20.00 per hour
Duties and responsibilities:
Candidate will work with sheets of aluminum to create and fabricate large signs. Each sign is fabricated in individual panels and joined together mechanically using aluminum extrusions.
Part of a daily routine would include:
* Cutting aluminum sheets and extrusions down to size to create signs
* Drilling sign panels and aluminum extrusions
* Applying reflective films and graphics
* Reviewing detailed shop drawings
* Assembling and building large signs
TRANSFERABLE SKILLS:
*Many skills utilized in a welding or fabrication shop.
***IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT a welding position!***
*Construction experience such as, welding, metal fabrication, sign fabrication or any other construction trades would generally be a skill utilized in this position.
Qualifications:
*Previous experience is not required but helpful
*Experience with basic tools including miter /chop saw, reading tape measures, drill press and hand drills.
* Must be 18 yrs of age or older
* Excellent attention to detail
* Own transportation
Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, reach overhead, kneel and lift
at least 50 pounds throughout the workweek.
Must be able to read, write, speak English, to include written and verbal instructions.
