Responsible for the inspection of components, subassemblies, and finished products received and manufactured at the company. Responsibilities include determining the proper sampling plans based upon component specifications, drawing, inspection plans or customer supplied requirements.
--Perform visual and dimensional inspections of received, in-process and final components, subassemblies and products.
-- Individual must be able to read/interpret drawing, specification, with limited supervision
--Individual must have detailed experience with inspection tools.
--Write non-conforming material reports when required and be familiar with the process of quarantining products that have been rejected by QA
--Maintain information systems. Complete accurate records (on paper and electronic data) in order to provide excellent results. Also complete accurate records for continuous improvement. These records include include inspection reports training records, equipment maintenance logs, continuous improvement initiatives, and corrective action reports. Understands the function and purpose of these records. Completes records neatly with a goal of 100% accuracy of content and spelling
--Individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good times management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills.
--individual must be able to work well in teams with others from diverse organizational functions and backgrounds as both a leader and and individual contributor
--This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to interface with individuals at all levels and functions of the business
--This individual regularly works with defined information (drawings, inspection plans, shop travelers, operational procedures).
--Provide input for inspection methods and improvements related to the job
--Organized work and storage areas for efficient workflow and to showcase the quality of the work in the facility
--Assist quality and engineering in investigations of process related quality issues
--Develop or improve standard inspection plans for efforts with the facility
--conduct drawing, ECO and purchase order reviews in accordance with approved procedures.
--Five or more years experience in the manufacturing aerospace industry as a quality inspector.
--Required to have a complete understanding of AS9100 requirement
--Required to have a detailed understanding of FAA Regulations, (Part 21) which is used to perform job duties. (FAA DMIR experience a plus)
--Must possess basic mathematical skills, such as adding, subtracting, and rounding decimal numbers.
--Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and be detail oriented
--Candidate should be familiar with word processing and other basic computer skills
