CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES
-- Assist customers with orders, credits or refunds, process orders, provide pricing, delivery information, and create shipping documents.
-- Assist with checking inventory levels, create purchase orders for factory and/or general manager and receive purchases.
-- Create store cycle counts and report to general manager. Answer & direct all incoming lines.
-- Take messages & forward as received to perspective person or department.
-- Greet all incoming visitors to office.
-- Copy, collate, & distribute various office materials/mailings to customers or sales reps.
-- Maintain files & filing.
-- Assist the salespersons in gathering & preparing required sales tools for a job.
-- Assist in preparing flyers, mailers, & technical data books.
-- Assist in faxing & preparing mail.
-- Back up other various departments.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SKILLS
-- Good verbal & communication skills
-- High School Diploma or GED.
-- Knowledge of Word, Excel and various programs, typing, calculator, telephones, filing & general office skills.
-- Flexible, good problem solver, good common sense, able to work alone, multi task, fast learner, can concentrate, good listener, pleasant under pressure,.
-- Must e adaptable, precise, organized, patient, alert, calculate percentages & numbers, good at grammar & spelling, good verbal skills & takes pride in work.
Must be able to withstand 8-9 hour working days. Must be able to sit for long periods, able to bend, stand, and squat. Able to reach overhead, reach forward, push, pull, kneel, stoop, twist. If a smoker, must be able to withstand not smoking for 3-4 hour intervals.
