SUMMARY
Assembles all size coils by performing the following duties required to create finished product.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 

Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled by following engineering drawings and work instructions

 

Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners

 

Connects wire cords with electrical connectors

 

Operates drill presses or miscellaneous air hand tools to assist in assembly operation

 

Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent assembly

 

Starts and observes machine operation (Bridgeport-fly cut) to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required

 

Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly using two part epoxy filler

 

Operates welding equipment to weld parts, if required

 

Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.  One to three months related experience and/or training.

 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and other employees.

 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure in English and Metric, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Have the ability to compute percentages.

 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
