Monday thru Friday  DAYS

Pay depends on experience

 

SUMMARY

Fabricates and assembles parts orienting feeder bowls according to blueprints, manuals, design memos, sketches, and past knowledge of feeder bowl construction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Analyzes data to determine the proper construction requirements for the system.

Checks customer part dimensions; relation of one part to another if there are multiple parts being handled.

Prepares system layout.

Constructs the feeder bowl; using various hand tools, saws, welders, and grinders.

Bench inspects bowl to ensure unit is built to high quality requirements, including simplicity of design, cleanup, smoothness of lines, and meets all customer and company requirements.

Inspects assemblies according to specifications on engineering drawings and accompanying documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Apprenticeship training with blueprint reading and machine shop; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure in English and Metric, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Have the ability to compute percentages. Ability to use scales and calipers.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
